YO SOY DIOS (I AM GOD) - According to the Book of Enoch, the fallen angel by the name of Kasbeel rebelled against God after witnessing his self crowning. The non - binary angel was the guardian of Beka, the secret oath with a numerical value of 22.  After the oath was revealed, Kasbeel was ousted from the heavens. Judged as an outcast for all eternity. Until now.

Initially, “Yo Soy Dios” is a song that I personally wanted to be an expression against bullying. I found myself in situations in which people have bullied me because of my skin color, or what they assume are my sexual preferences.

And I wrote this song as a form of expression for myself and hopefully for other people, understanding that personal acceptance is very important, but it is a very hard process for each person to go through.

It's a song about empowerment and believing in yourself!

Hi! I’m Esty and I co-wrote my new and second NFT “pegao!!!” with producer, The Idiot. 

I wanted to write something that visually and lyrically announced me making space in an industry I used to think had no space for me. Make that space for yourself where there is none!

This song was born out of our 3rd session together and I remember coming in and sharing the voice memo idea I had while driving to the studio. I was just repeating the “pegaoooo ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ayeeee”. The minute I heard the opening beat, I went in to record “Oye Portero, HABRAME LA PUERTA!!”Which means in English, “Listen gatekeeper, OPEN THE DOOR!!”.

Pegao is Spanish for ’stuck’ because this song will be ‘stuck’ in your head!

Being aware could help us all out greatly in life & the need for improvement plays a major role in all of our lives. With that comes the pressures of facing our truths. Instead of running from it, Carla approaches it head on by chasing it down to find the root of all of her issues to address them. Self awareness can save us all a great deal of disappointment. In this song, Carla tells of her dealings with karma and how she addresses it.

Allan Kingdom

Yebo means “Yes” in the South African language of Zulu. Yebo Life is also the name of Allan Kingdom’s  non-for-profit organization.

“Yebo” is also a word you’ll hear across the continent of Africa when the community gets lit! The song was produced by Blk Orchid, & written by Allan Kingdom and TiKA. The song was mixed, engineered, and mastered by Allan Kingdom. The artwork was also created by Allan Kingdom. 

The inspiration for the artwork is a play on the American Gothic classic painting. The intention was to show what taking up space can look like for Black Folk in art. Although a parody, the picture is a powerful reminder that we are all Kings and Queens. Hence the importance of the Nefertiti Chain on TiKA and the Chain of the continent of Africa on Allan.

With Blk Orchid's being of Jamaican descent, and TiKA’s being of Trinidadian and Jamaican descent, this collaboration is an amalgamation of the unification of the diaspora.

Allan Kingdom being of South African/Tanzanian descent was deeply inspired to give back to his community and members of the diaspora. His mother being his influence, built wells for her home village in the Serengeti once she was able to give back. 

Allan is honored to be able to carry the torch, and use his notoriety to donate thousands of pounds of goods every year starting in his hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota. 

In life, we hear more no’s than yes’s which amplifies the importance of the song and the organization! Say yes to a life of love, health, and prosperity.

Background of "Art of the Loner"
Art of the Loner is one of the most personal songs I've ever written. From my 2019 project, "I'm not here", Art of the Loner is an open admission of wanting to isolate yourself after being let down in the relationships around you. I had just moved to LA a year earlier (late 2017), begun my career as a professional producer/songwriter and had plenty of material to write from. (maybe some can relate!)

What "Art of the Loner" means to me artistically:

Part of my identity as a songwriter & artist is speaking for those who feel deeply but may not choose to speak up. As an introvert, in a very loud world, I know this all too well. "Art of the Loner" sonically and lyrically explores this concept in a straightforward, honest way. While this song may seem very chill and calm, it was very emotionally stirring for me wile writing it. It's a quiet storm, and I hope there are some out there who may identify with it. Sonically it was an exploration in guitar tones, textured reverbs & denser vocal arrangements. I took a lot of time on my vocal arrangements. There are over a dozen or two vocal stacks. I was very inspired by Brian Wilson's approach to the "Wall of Sound"

Why bring this to catalog?

"Art of the Loner" was my favorite song on this project and despite being a focal point of my life at the time, it unfortunately wasn't picked as a focus track for the web2 DSP's. It was one of the most genre-ambigious tracks I'd released at the time as I was transitioning into more alternative sounds.

Why airdrop free NFT's to bidders?

Whenever a collector bids on an nft, that's a huge commitment. They are signifying that they I believe in your art, you and your values in web3. If someone shows that level of commitment it only makes sense to airdrop them something for their participation as a token of gratitude, particularly in these early stages of web3. As a collector, it's also a way of showing support of artists they've bid on their wallet and saying, "I was here for this event and participated!". Not too different from collect a sticker or merch item from a concert or album drop. I hope this becomes a standard practice with Music NFT's. It can be a great way to build relationships and build community.

Tycho

Drawing on the same themes as the Coastal Break era of Tycho, Jetty places a strong focus on the ocean. It channels the energy and atmosphere of time spent in the water near my home in San Francisco.

Originally released as part of the Ninjawerks collection, Jetty is the only Tycho song to not feature original artwork upon its release. After regaining full ownership of the record, Jetty is experiencing a creative rebirth thanks to web3. It features the alternate artwork designed by me and debuted with the announcement of the track.
