This song was my own way of expressing grief after 3 close family members passed in a very short period of time. It was never officially released aside from SoundCloud.

blessings v3 – Nov, 27 2019

Lately, I've been going absolutely hard in the paint. Between picking up new instruments, moving to a new place, and starting up new projects in web3, I'm constantly occupied. This time, though, it feels a little different than before. At this point in my life, I've started to put together the framework for the rest of my life. All of the work I find myself doing is deeply involved in the subjects I'm passionate about, whether that's leveling up my playing skills, building infrastructure for the homies, or reaching goals that I set for myself as a young man. There's still a lot to be done, and a ton of dreams to realize, but it's safe to say I'm in orbit right now, reaching for the moon.

My very first music NFT comes by way of 'Canary' which was part of a AA single I put out in May of last year. 

I wrote this track in an Airbnb while I was on a vacation in the Canary Islands last year with my partner. The vocals at the end were recorded after a night of drinking whiskey and roaming aimlessly on the beach yelling at the moon and ocean.

Canary

I recently gathered a group of absolute legends/catalog colleagues Oshi, Harris Cole, Dot, Dabow, Sober Rob and others for a project of monumental proportions. After working on the application for nearly a year, production began for hedsTAPE 01 with a crowdfund and a dream. Sober Rob contributed the genesis sample, and each of 10 producers created their own interpretations. I created audio-reactive CG music videos for each of these tracks, and on 2/12 at 12 PST we minted the entire audiovisual experience. This production sprint ended up being an experience that I believe to this day represents some of the best collaborative work I've ever been a part of. Oh, and we're just getting started. This song serves as a response to the “musician turned content creator” trope and the need to reclaim power as artists. Lyrically, it mirrors how choked and drained artists are with the current music industry and comments on social media, the algorithm, and the push to be “commercially satisfactory” per the “heads” of the business. In return, there’s a revolution going on in web3 where we see artists at the forefront creating authentic music. This song aims to inspire other creatives to take risks and pursue alternate methods of releasing and creating.

This is an alternate version of a track I previously released on an EP entitled "Nightfall" in 2018. While the original is much faster in BPM and forward-moving, this outtake is much slower and gives off a more enchanted, trance-like vibe. I ultimately went with the other version for the project's release because it fit the overall theme better but I always felt like this edition could have a home somewhere in the world. It's fitting that it finds its place in Web3. Much love and appreciation to anyone that places a bid on this one!

FADE is the first of two tracks sober rob & I released! The original idea for the song was made in 2019 when we were hanging in LA - we would pick a key + tempo then split up for 30 minutes. Rob made a quick beat and I mumbled some vocal ideas. After the time was up we combined the beat + vocals revealing the rough idea for FADE! We made a ton of demos using this method but this was the one that really stuck and we finished it up over a period of 2ish years enjoiiii

Creases was the first song I wrote living in Beachwood Canyon, a place that led to some of my favorite music and good times I've been blessed with so far. 

I had just bought a moped, fostered a Frenchie, and didn't have my studio set up. So I propped a pair of monitors on our coffee table in the middle of a party, and recorded the vocals while people danced around to the demo. 

I hope this song makes you feel as free as I did when I made it, and puts some creases on your pretty face.
